Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati: Fundraising Video
The Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati was struggling to hit their fundraising targets due to the decrease in foot traffic and donor participation beginning in early 2020 (covid).
The center was looking to create a video to help the community better understand ICGC’s services and help them achieve their fundraising targets.
This was full end to end video production. We used a qualitative research based approach to storytelling, Developed the discussion guide, and crafted the story based on insights to help the Muslim community better understand ICGC’s services.
The video ended up being showcased on ICGC’s social media channels and played a role in helping ICGC hit their 1.4MM fundraising target.
Building Effective Skate Spaces: Research Film
This mini-documentary seeks to understand what goes into building well-utilized skate spaces. The research largely took place in the 2nd half of 2023 and pulled in experts globally from academia, urban planning, skatepark advocacy, and design/architecture. After over 15+ hours of expert interviews, we pored through the transcripts to identify common themes and learning spaces.
The inspiration behind the video came when a group of volunteers began advocating for a skatepark in Cincinnati, Ohio. As momentum grew for the park, we realized there was very little existing research on the attributes of effective skate spaces. We then briefly tied those findings back to the inspiration behind the research.
The screened video has received significant traction within the skate and city planning community, and contributed to the Camp Washington Skatepark securing 1MM in public funding.
GE Veterans Network: Promotional Film
GE Aviation was looking to create four videos to attract top veteran talent. The video series included the following objectives
Highlight GE’s veteran-friendly culture
Showcase GE’s strength as a company
Express GE's desire to hire veterans
We used a qualitative research based approach to storytelling. We developed the discussion guide, identified key insights & learnings and crafted the story based on those insights to help prospective veterans better connect with their GE peers.
Due to security restrictions, zero filming was allowed within the GE production facilities. We had to lean on existing facility footage by other teams.
The video ended up being showcased at the GE Aviation all-staff town-hall meeting and was shared publicly by GE HR teams across social media platforms.
